Introducing Alpine Lakes in Clay
I have been hiking to pools of calm blue and green waters deep in the mountains. I keep a bucket of recycled clay scraps in the studio. I swish a goopy handful into the form, and squeeze a couple of different glazes into the pool.
These are an opportunity for experimentation. I am not always sure what various glazes will do when swirled together; no two are the same, and I would have a hard time repeating results. They are meant to capture wild, but deeply energetic places.
